The Alternative Board - Home Based Franchise

The Alternative Board (TAB) was started in 1990, in St. Louis, Missouri. The Alternative Board is an organization where owners, CEO's, and presidents of non competing private businesses gather under the supervision of an Alternative Board certified coach to discuss and solve problems. The Alternative Board strives to create a "no holds barred" sounding board to find the best business practices possible for all involved. The Alternative Board began offering franchise opportunities in 1996.

The Alternative Board provides training to franchisees at company headquarters, and at the franchisee's location, and provides further training through conference calls for up to a year. Ongoing franchise support comes in the form of newsletters, meetings, a grand opening promotion, a toll free phone line, internet, and evaluations. Marketing support is provided with co-op advertising,  ad slicks, and regional advertising.

The initial franchise fee for an Alternative Board franchise is in the twenty-five to fifty-five thousand dollar range with the total investment required to acquire a franchise being in the forty-four to one hundred six thousand dollar range.
